Why Thumprint is Required?

What is the reason for the requirement of female’s left and male’s right thumbprint?              

To make this world realize the philolsophy that both male and female are equal, Lord Shiva gave his left half of his body to Sakthi and became eachother’s half (umayoru pagam) and came to be known as Arthanareeswarar and are providing blessings in the Arthanareeswar temple  in Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. The Rishis and Siddhas realised it and using their wisdom and analysed it precisely and categorised the thumbprint of every human tha is male’s right and female’s left thumbprint into 108 type of thumbprint based on its formation, system of pattern, ups, downs, lines, whirls and the number of dots hidden inside them and using this the Rishis and Siddhas wrote each and every person’s predictions, life secrets and the ways to attain it in the palmleaf bundles.
